A Co-operative Community Center
for Young Children and their Caregivers

Dear Families and Friends of Northampton Parents Center,

Happy Spring!  Please join us and spread the word!

From April 5th-21st we will celebrate “The Week of the Young Child/Brain Building In Progress.”  On Monday, April 8th, former NPC board member and stay at home dad, Northampton Mayor David Narkiewicz will kick off festivities at the NPC with a proclamation at snack time!  Simultaneously, we will participate in a Downtown Art Exhibit.  Some of your children’s artwork can be found brightening up the windows at Gazebo on Center Street and the Superintendent’s Office at 212 Main Street.  We hope you will stop by with your children and enjoy our displays as well as those all over town!

On Saturday, April 13th, from 10:00 am-12 noon, rain or shine, you can find us at the Children’s Festival at the Jackson Street School cafeteria.   We will be celebrating young children and all the people who help them grow!  Join us and your neighbors, family, and friends for a fun filled morning of FREE games, activities, projects, playground fun and community vehicles to explore (for example: a fire truck, police cruiser, and a school bus!)

Back at the Northampton Parents Center on April 27th we will host an Early Spring Family Fun Night from 4pm until 7pm.  Everyone is welcome~ new and current families as well as alumni.  Playtime starts at 4pm with an option potluck dinner (bring a dish to share if you would like to join us!).  We will provide family entertainment.  This event is free.  Donations are always welcomed.  We will also hold a raffle fundraiser at this event so you could leave with some incredible prizes!  Older siblings and family members are welcome!

In other news, please note that we will be closed for school vacation week from April 15th-18th and will reopen on Monday 4/22/13.

As always, please check our Facebook Page for current updates and information.

A huge “thank you” to all of you who participated in our Hillside Pizza Fundraiser!

Thank you and see you at the NPC,

Swansea & Kerri & the NPC Parent Advisory Committee
