A listing of all upcoming events at the Northampton Parents Center and of events hosted by the Northampton Public Schools Early Childhood Center (ECC). Full list and registration for ECC Presents Workshops, Playdates, and Caregiver Café here. All events are FREE.

For all ECC Presents events, please note that you need to register online to be notified of any changes in location or cancellations: Workshops, Playdates, Caregiver Cafés, Kestrel Walks.

AUGUST

Tuesday, August 4: Playgroup Visitor – Karin Anderson, WIC Community Coordinator. Karin will be visiting from WIC (Woman, Infants, and Child) to talk about the program and eligibility for families with children under the age of 5.

Wednesday, August 5: ECC tabling at Grow Foods Mobile Market – childcare resources, program information, kids activities. More information here. At Meadowbrook Apartments, 491 Bridge Road, Northampton.

Tuesday, August 11: Playgroup Visitor – Elizabeth Vega, Seven Hills Foundation. Elizabeth Vega, Information & Referral Counselor, will be visiting to share childcare resources and assistance accessing the new MyChildCareMA portal where families can apply for childcare benefits through MyMassGov.

Tuesday, August 11: Last day of summer playgroup! Regular playgroup season resumes on September 8. NPC closed until September 7.

Wednesday, September 2: ECC/NPC tabling at Grow Foods Mobile Market – childcare resources, program information, kids activities. More information here. At Hampshire Heights, 241 Jackson Street, Northampton.

Thursday, September 3, 9:30 am – 11:30 am: Soapy Cleanup & Stock-up Day! At Edwards Church playspace. More details here.

Northampton Parents Center

Northampton Parents Center is a drop-in center for families and caregivers of young children, birth to kindergarten. Since 1986, Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has provided a nurturing environment for families with young children to socialize, find resources, and build connections. Free daily drop-in playgroups are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. More information here.

We are located in the lower level of Edwards Church, at the corner of State and Main Streets in downtown Northampton.

Mission

Since 1986, the mission of Northampton Parents Center has been to provide a nurturing and friendly space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play; to find support and resources; and to create connections and friendships.

NPC is located in the lower level of Edwards Church at the corner of State and Main Streets, in downtown Northampton. We are wheelchair accessible.
