ECC Presents

NPC is very fortunate to be partnered with Northampton Public School’s Early Childhood Center (ECC) – Ashley, who’s at playgroup every Monday for Art with Ashley, is from ECC!

In addition to being at playgroup and supporting NPC with their expertise and experience, ECC offers amazing parent/caretaker workshops, family events, and playdates for children ages birth to 8, every month. All are FREE, and many happen monthly – Family Gametime, Caregiver Café, Playdates at Smith College.

Some upcoming ECC Presents offerings for February:

• Tuesday, February 3, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm: ECC Presents – Monthly Caregiver Café.
• Thursday, February 12, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (Zoom): ECC Presents Workshop – Naptime Zoom! “Sensory Needs and Behavioral Concerns in Children” with Dan Lemaire, OT/R
• Thursday, February 12, 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm (Zoom): ECC Presents Workshop – “The Magic of Coregulation and How It Wires Developing Brains for Resilience” with Chrissy D’Agostino, Independent Educational Consultant and Parent Educator.
• Tuesday, February 24, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Family Game Time at Forbes Library.
• Thursday, February 26, 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm (Zoom): ECC Presents Workshop – “Finding Early Math in Everyday Routines and Play” with Nicole Farach, Northampton Public Schools’ Instructional Coach.

Northampton Parents Center

Northampton Parents Center is a drop-in center for families and caregivers of young children, birth to kindergarten. Since 1986, Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has provided a nurturing environment for families with young children to socialize, find resources, and build connections. Free daily drop-in playgroups are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. More information here.

We are located in the lower level of Edwards Church, at the corner of State and Main Streets in downtown Northampton.

Mission

Since 1986, the mission of Northampton Parents Center has been to provide a nurturing and friendly space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play; to find support and resources; and to create connections and friendships.

NPC is located in the lower level of Edwards Church at the corner of State and Main Streets, in downtown Northampton. We are wheelchair accessible.
