First Aid for Parents and Caregivers – Thursday, December 4

The First Aid for Parents and Caregivers workshop will be Thursday, December 4, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. December’s workshop will be in person, and childcare is available if needed! Registration is required. Please indicate whether you need childcare when you register.

The 1.5 hour course is FREE and covers The Big Stuff – the most common and serious emergencies kids experience. Topics include choking, bleeding, severe allergies, burns, dehydration, and more. Perfect for grandparents and caregivers.

Taught by Molly Kitchen of Institute for Wild Med and hosted by Northampton Public School’s Early Childhood Center and NPC.

If you’re unable to make this one, don’t worry! There will be two more opportunities to register for the course over the winter – one online (Zoom), and another in-person.

NPC is located in the lower level of Edwards Church, 297 Main Street, Northampton. We are wheelchair accessible. Please use public parking (do not park in the church lot) and enter through the side entrance on State Street.

Northampton Parents Center

Northampton Parents Center is a drop-in center for families and caregivers of young children, birth to kindergarten. Since 1986, Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has provided a nurturing environment for families with young children to socialize, find resources, and build connections. Free daily drop-in playgroups are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. More information here.

We are located in the lower level of Edwards Church, at the corner of State and Main Streets in downtown Northampton.

Mission

Since 1986, the mission of Northampton Parents Center has been to provide a nurturing and friendly space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play; to find support and resources; and to create connections and friendships.
