Tomorrow, Sunday, 9/14 – Mr. Liam Kid’s Series to Celebrate NPC!

Join Music Thursday favorite and NPC friend Mr. Liam at The Iron Horse on Sunday, September 14, to celebrate the Northampton Parents Center! Liam’s popular monthly Kids Series at The Iron Horse is always a family hit, and September’s concert will feature guest performer Swansea (NPC’s former Executive Director for 19 years). Thank you Mr. Liam! ♡

Celebrating the Northampton Parents Center

Tickets are pay-what-you-can, starting at $5. While sales go to Iron Horse (fellow nonprofit and community landmark), NPC will be kicking off a new season of playgroups and launching the Friends of NPC monthly membership campaign to keep the vital second staff position. Mr. Liam’s Kid Series at The Iron Horse: Join Mr. Liam & friends each month for a Sunday morning filled with music, dancing, and laughter! With your help, Mr. Liam will combine forces with a local musical hero to battle and defeat Boredom! All new original music and jokes, plus old favorites like the 10 Second Dance Party!  

Liam Hurley has been a performer and educator for more than 25 years. He earned his B.M. in Jazz Performance from New York University and studied Early Childhood Education at Hunter College. Liam has worked in numerous New York City-based theater productions, and toured as the drummer for Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band. He is co-founder of the kids’ music group, the Big Littles, and performs throughout the region as Mr. Liam.

Directions: The Iron Horse is in downtown Northampton, at 18 Center Street, Northampton 01060. Center Street is across from Bueno y Sano/Pinocchio’s Pizza on Main Street. On Center Street, Iron Horse is across from First Churches and next to The Green Room.

Northampton Parents Center

Northampton Parents Center is a drop-in center for families and caregivers of young children, birth to kindergarten. Since 1986, Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has provided a nurturing environment for families with young children to socialize, find resources, and build connections. Free daily drop-in playgroups are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. More information here.

We are located in the lower level of Edwards Church, at the corner of State and Main Streets in downtown Northampton.

Mission

Since 1986, the mission of Northampton Parents Center has been to provide a nurturing and friendly space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play; to find support and resources; and to create connections and friendships.

NPC is located in the lower level of Edwards Church at the corner of State and Main Streets, in downtown Northampton. We are wheelchair accessible.
