Smith Students

NPC is very lucky to have a talented team of work-study students from Smith College during the academic year. They provide essential support during weekly playgroups and events, and are a beloved and integral part of the NPC community.

Grace (she/her)

Grace started at NPC in 2024. She is a senior, studying History and Landscape Studies, and proficient in Spanish.

Kat (she/her)

Kat started at NPC in Spring 2026. She is a junior, and majoring in Education & Child Study, with a specific focus on early childhood development. She loves to read and watch silly movies in her free time.

Kira (she/her)

Kira has been with NPC since 2023. She is a senior, majoring in English and Math. She loves reading and playing board or card games with her family.

Orly (she/her)

Orly has been with NPC since 2025. She is a sophomore, and looking to major in Neuroscience. Orly enjoys listening to music and going on hikes.

Northampton Parents Center

Northampton Parents Center is a drop-in center for families and caregivers of young children, birth to kindergarten. Since 1986, Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has provided a nurturing environment for families with young children to socialize, find resources, and build connections. Free daily drop-in playgroups are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. More information here.

We are located in the lower level of Edwards Church, at the corner of State and Main Streets in downtown Northampton.

Mission

Since 1986, the mission of Northampton Parents Center has been to provide a nurturing and friendly space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play; to find support and resources; and to create connections and friendships.

NPC is located in the lower level of Edwards Church at the corner of State and Main Streets, in downtown Northampton. We are wheelchair accessible.
